What we export

Five Species, Every One Traceable

Each shipment traces back to the exact farm bed it grew on. Every harvest gets a farmer ID, a GPS-mapped location, and a batch record before it's sun-dried, graded, and packed for export.

Farm to container

Our Process

01

Farm

Grown on racks or long-lines suited to each species, on farms we've mapped and registered by GPS.

02

Harvest

Graded by our field team at the point of harvest, tagged with a batch ID tied to that farmer and plot.

03

Dry

Sun-dried on raised bamboo racks — never machine-dried, which preserves colour and gel strength.

04

Verify

Second inspection and lab testing at our consolidation point, checked against the batch record from harvest.

05

Ship

Container-ready packaging, with every bag traceable back to the farmer and farm plot it came from.

Stage 5

Port Shipment

Container-loaded and shipped via major Indonesian ports, including Surabaya and Jakarta, on FOB or CIF terms.

Quality control

Checked Before It Ever Leaves the Beach

  • Moisture-tested before packing, to keep shipments free of mould in transit
  • Hand-sorted — sand, shell fragments, and mixed species removed by hand
  • Lab-checked — gel strength, viscosity, and ash content confirmed before export
  • Sun-dried, not machine-dried — better colour and gel quality, the traditional way our farmers have always dried it
  • Container-ready packaging — matched to destination climate and shipping conditions
  • Full traceability — every bag tagged to the farmer, farm plot, and harvest week it came from

Buyer feedback

What Our Buyers Say

"Working with SeaweedAsia changed how we think about sourcing. Every batch arrives with a paper trail back to the exact farm bed it grew on — something we'd never gotten from a broker. Their export desk is responsive, the moisture specs are consistently on target, and containers have shipped on schedule every time we've ordered."

John Whitfield Procurement Lead, hydrocolloid manufacturer — United Kingdom

"We source carrageenan-grade seaweed for multiple production lines, and traceability used to be our biggest headache. SeaweedAsia's batch IDs and lab reports arrive before the container even leaves port. It's the kind of documentation our compliance team actually trusts, and pricing has stayed competitive shipment after shipment."
