Eucheuma Spinosum is the species we point buyers toward when they need a softer, more elastic gel — common in dairy and confectionery applications where Cottonii's firmer set isn't the right fit. East Nusa Tenggara's reef-flat conditions are well suited to it.
The cultivation method is similar to Cottonii — line-grown in shallow water — but Spinosum is more sensitive to handling and drying time, which is why moisture control is tighter for this species (we hold it to ≤12% moisture at packing). Rushed drying shows up immediately in gel elasticity, so our field teams don't cut that step short.
As with every species we export, each Spinosum batch is tagged to the farmer and plot it came from, lab-checked for gel strength and viscosity, and inspected by SGS before it leaves for port.
Buyers working in dairy or confectionery applications who want a sample run can reach out to our export desk with target tonnage and we'll come back with pricing and lead time.
